Dear Loves,

My first year of blogging has been amazing, exceeding all expectations I had originally set out for myself when I started Style with Benefits in March 2009.  It has truly been one incredible ride thanks to everyone who visits here, and I hope you will continue with me on the next leg of the journey.

Wishing to create a more customized layout and improved reader experience, Style with Benefits will be moving to a new home, but luckily all my old posts have migrated over to the new blog.  Beginning tomorrow, please update your blogroll, RSS Readers and bookmarks to (do not include ‘www’ after the ‘http’):

My 7 “interesting” facts:

1.  I check out these shopping sites on a daily basis:  Topshop, Oak NYC, 80′s Purple, Pixie Market and MyCatwalk.

2.  I used to have really heavy blonde highlights.

3.  I own more men’s plaid button down shirts than women’s.  Case in point, I’m wearing one in this post and the one below.

4.  My parents almost named me Sarah.

5.  For all the newcomers to my blog lately (thanks so much!) who may not know this, I’m a fraternal twin.  Mel’s blog is HERE.

6.  Long-term goal in life is to write a movie screenplay and have it sold.  I have the idea; I just need to find time to begin writing it.

7.  If I could only eat one meal for the rest of my life, it would be linguine with white clam sauce.  I heart carbs.

So yes, I’m back in LA and apparently I brought the cooler east coast weather back with me to Cali.  My trip home to the Garden State included a stop at Topshop in NYC (bought the floral dress above which has three cut-outs and bows across the back), apple/tomato/raspberry picking at an orchard, catching up with friends who I’m sad I don’t get to see more often, and going to my lovely friend’s wedding.  Overall, it was a fabulous trip.

Thanks so much for continuing to stop by here even though my updates have been lagging.  I plan to update more frequently and will get back to all your comments this week!

Hope you enjoy your two days of freedom!  I plan to head over to Unique Los Angeles this weekend, and hopefully will pick up some amazing items from the local independent designers.  BTW, this picture of MKO makes me smile.

Zappos Map = Awesomeness

The Zappos Map = Awesomeness.  You can watch in real-time what people are buying off of Zappos.com, and where they’re from.  I’m going to log on at 2am PST and see if anyone’s buying shoes in the middle of the night, or if that’s just something I always do.  Good times seeing an ugly shoe pop up in oh, maybe Kittler, Arkansas, and saying WTF, holy fugliness.  Technology just keeps getting better.
