Menday: Jeggings

Let’s talk about…

Conclusion: Men like jeggings.  Or anything that’s tight.  Shocker.

Personally, I haven’t lost my jeggings virginity yet and I’m not sure if I ever will.  I do wear leggings, but also only wear super skinny jeans.  The probability of jeggings ever making their way into my closet are slim to none.  No pun intended.

Are jeggings one of your wardrobe staples?

haha, love it. i live in these things and am glad to see that guys aren’t totally disgusted by them. love their honesty, and i love the menday posts!! xx

Hahaha! Jeggings is one of my wardrobe staples… it’s just a breeze to wear… no buttons and zips. But I don’t wear it for the men, I wear them for myself. xoxo

Ha, I love these Menday posts. Such a good idea, Becs! 🙂

Jeggings … hmmm, not something I’ve ever really considered, actually. Like, I’ve never held a pair of leggings in one hand and a pair of skinnies in the other and though, “Man, I wish these could mate.” So I guess I’ll reserve my opinion ’til I try some on.

  7. February 2, 2010 at 11:45 am

I refuse to call my pair jeggings, but I did impulse buy some leggings that look a little like denim from Bloomingdales- however, they don’t look like they were trying to resemble denim too hard. I strongly dislike when I see jeggings with front pockets/back pockets, zipers, and any other detail that jeans have. I think those details cheapen the leggings and make them look like they’re trying way too hard.

Will brought up an interesting point about the swimsuit area needing to be covered up. I’ve seen girls wear oversized t-shirts/tanks with leggings and then they tuck in the front exposing said swimsuit area. I dig that look, but it’s interesting to hear how guys perceive that exposure.

Another excellent Menday, Boober! xo, Mel

I think they are great when done right. Otherwise, it’s all a mess! But, that goes with any leggings, so… yeah. I’m not a huge fan of Whitney’s though… they look like they’re a bit too small maybe?

  9. February 2, 2010 at 12:16 pm

Yea not a shocker at all that man like them! LOL! I love my jeggings as well though…they are comfy n sexy since they are so tight! xoxo, magda @ http://www.nevestyle.com

  12. February 2, 2010 at 4:06 pm

  13. February 2, 2010 at 6:32 pm

Ah men! It’s so easy to figure out what they like to see on a woman, isn’t it? 🙂 I like jeggings because they’re more comfortable than jeans in my opinion. I hope you’re having a great week Becs!! xoxoxoxo

  14. February 2, 2010 at 10:47 pm

At least with jeggings, in comparison to tights, it looks more as if you made more of an effort to get dressed and still make the look effortless. I don’t have much of a problem with tights, but when I can see what you have on under, maybe its time to change the gameplan. I saw a pair of jeggings last night, I loved it 🙂

  19. February 3, 2010 at 8:00 am

love this post totally agreeing with will on this one the swimsuit area must be covered seriously made me giggle xxxxxxxxx

  20. February 3, 2010 at 9:17 am

humm i dont think they’re for me, i have quite a large booty and although it appears some of the guys like the booty+jeggings combo i have no intention of pointing mine out any more than it needs to be. That’s why i usually stick to dark leggings with a top long enough to cover the said booty.

  21. February 3, 2010 at 1:26 pm

i just bought some i havnet worn it yet
but this looks amazing in all of them!

  22. February 3, 2010 at 3:01 pm

Sweet! i’m so glad that the guys are all for it because I’m on the lookout for the perfect pair of jeggings. I think I might even be able to figure out how to wear them on casual friday.

Love the new layout of Mensday, and as usual the comments are great! I totally thought most guys would hate the idea of jeggings…interesting to find out what they really think. Great post!

    xx

  31. February 5, 2010 at 2:52 pm

Hi dear! it’s been awhile since I’ve last been here and I missed you and your blog! :*

I actually own a pair from H&M and I prefer jeggings to trousers as they’re more comfy:)) Of course I only wear them with tunic tops or longer sweater

  32. February 5, 2010 at 5:11 pm

this is hilarious. i can’t get behind jeggings, i have to admit.

  33. February 6, 2010 at 12:37 pm

ha! i’m all about skinny jeans with a bit of stretch, though i don’t know about leggings with a jean look, if that makes sense!

  34. February 6, 2010 at 8:32 pm

I’m with Will, I think Jeggings are only ok if you cover your butt. Of course, I’m a girl, so that might be why I’d rather not see other girls butts hanging out left and right…

  35. February 7, 2010 at 12:27 pm

I agree with Dream, this looks amazing.
I have a pair of leggings that look like jeans but arent and I love them. I do agree that they really should be worn with a top that covers the bathing suit area. Becs I understand if you dont wear them, but I bet you could rock them.

  36. February 7, 2010 at 1:29 pm

Haha. Love the guys comments. I would have to agree…if you have the body go for it. I was a little unsure at first myself so thanks for this post. And thanks guys for your opinions. I kinda want to sport some myself : )

  37. February 9, 2010 at 1:03 am

I don’t know why I thought I commented on this post already, but I would just also give my personal stamp of approval and I’m calling dibs on being in the next panel of judges. LOL

Def the BEST! outfit I’ve seen all week 🙂 Your styling is off the hook girl! Keep it up.

    Much love always,

  39. February 9, 2010 at 1:55 pm

LOL OMG I wanted to comment on your floral pant outfit post and clicked the wrong comment window, sorries 😦

  40. February 10, 2010 at 11:07 am

I absolutely adore these Menday posts – they are one of the things that I eagerly await each week. As for me, I’m not a big jeggings wearer; rather, I’m one of the individuals who wears regular leggings as pants. Don’t hate me; I adore them!! 🙂

  41. February 10, 2010 at 8:13 pm

Goodness you’re so gorgeous! Can’t think of anyone else that would look as fabulous as you in those pants!

  42. February 18, 2010 at 3:04 am

    LOL! guys approval huh??

I personally am undecided. Like i would like to try out a pair but they’re overpriced right now. They don’t have the right quality and appeal like skinny jeans BUT can add some more life than…plain black leggings. oh jeggings…i most likely wont. i see it more as a trend that wont last too long = fad.
