We’ve got the whole world in our hands

H&M top. Vintage faux fur vest & necklace via Rose Bowl Flea Market. Arden B. jeans. Vintage Justin Roper boots. Stacey Lapidus headband. Marc Jacobs sunglasses

This past weekend was absolutely gorgeous, with temperatures in the mid-70’s.  I suppose the beautiful weather almost makes up for not being at NYFW.  At least that’s what I keep telling myself.

Scored the faux fur vest and necklace for $5 each at the Rose Bowl Flea Market this weekend.  I love me some sweet deals.

If fate shuts the door, go through the window.

Bebe dress. Vintage bracelet

Sometimes I just want to tease my hair and wear mesh cut-outs all day.

“I see myself as a huge fiery comet, a shooting star. Everyone stops, points up and gasps ‘Oh look at that!’ Then — whoosh, and I’m gone… and they’ll never see anything like it ever again, and they won’t be able to forget me — ever.” – J. Morrison

You’re so right for what’s wrong in my life.

H&M pants & men’s button down shirt. Silence & Noise bustier and belt via Urban Outfitters. Vintage Justin Roper boots

Yes, these H&M floral harem pants are ridiculous.  But I can be pretty ridiculous at times.

They are the exception to my anti-harem pants rule.  I’m not going to lie, these pants just make me happy.  The bright floral print, soft material and loud 90’s vibe had me at hello.

Just like anchovies aren’t for everyone, the same goes for these pants.

I’m a plane in the sunset with nowhere to land

Deena & Ozzy Felt Top Hat via Urban Outfitters. H&M lace bodysuit

I’ve never personally been big on hats, but considering my two daily hairstyles fluctuate between a low, (partially) side bun and letting my hair air dry straight (don’t use a blow dryer), I thought a hat would be a strong third option to throw into the mix.  Bought this hat from UO yesterday and I’m pretty much in love with it.

As if this week couldn’t get any better, I’m featured in this month’s Style Stalker post on WhoWhatWear!  More pics from my leopard print shorts look are here.

Thanks so much for your sweet comments about my new hair color!

Hope you are having a wonderful week!

xoxo, Becs

Say hello to my little friend

I tried to resist, but caved and got the Jeffrey Campbell Alexa Wedge Bootie from LF Stores.  They also now come in black patent leather and a cream color.

I’m such a sucker for instant gratification.

Have a wonderful weekend! xoxo

miércoles feliz

Zara blazer. Rampage lace top. Urban Outfitters bandeau, belt and shoes. Express shorts. Topshop earrings

Yes, LA has the terrible traffic, but when it’s still 70 degree something weather in November, I can’t complain (reason I’m wearing these shorts).  I’m glad I never got rid of this 8+ year old lace number from Rampage because it has come in handy for layering things over and underneath it.

Picked up the oversized blazer (with shoulder pads – Score!), necklace and fringe boots at the Rose Bowl Flea Market this past weekend.  The blazer is actually from We Move Vintage (new LA online vintage boutique) and joins my ever-growing collection of black blazers.  Not to mention I’m eagerly anticipating the arrival of this gem from Nasty Gal Vintage.

Rose Bowl Flea Market

Usually I’d wish you all a Happy Hump Day but just attempted to search for another term and discovered that some people refer to it as ‘the week’s belly button’.  So happy ‘the week’s bellybutton’!  Just doesn’t sound the same… xoxo

Make It Work

Chicisimo Blogettes Summer Party

The fabulous Chicisimo team is throwing a summer party tomorrow, August 16, and you’re invited!  Dress code is casual, and of course, chic.  Send a picture of what you plan to wear or a link to an outfit you’ve already posted on your blog to the lovely Maria at chicisimo@gmail.com.  Don’t be late and send in your picture before tomorrow.  I’ll be attending.. hope to see you there!

So the great thing about moving is finding things you haven’t seen or may have temporarily lost.  Cyndi Lauper CD – was lost but now found.  Let the overplaying of “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” start up again.  I also found several pairs of neglected and unworn shoes.  Score.

Since my shoes are all out of hiding, I thought I’d share with you some of my daily choice footwear.

Without being able to splurge on high-end designer shoes due to my lack of funds, I make do with what I have and am always on the hunt for vintage finds.  I practically wear my vintage Justin Roper boots any chance I get.  In the famous sentiments of T.G., “Make it work.”

Thanks so much for bearing with me during my absence.  I’ll get back to everyone’s comments this week and can’t wait to catch up on all of your blogs!
